Based on characters from the novels of Caroline Graham, Detective Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby and Detective Sergeant Ben Jones investigate murders in the not-so-sleepy or peaceful English villages of Midsomer County. (The body count per episode averages five!)

The four episodes in this set include:

Midsomer Life -- When an unpopular editor of a local magazine is found dead, Barnaby discovers bribery, adultery, and long-kept secrets.

The Magician's Nephew -- the locals blame witchcraft when members of a pagan cult begin to die mysteriously.

Days of Misrule -- Barnaby and Jones are reluctant to participate in a dreaded team-building exercise organized by their superior, and are more than happy when an explosive crime interrupts the outing.

Talking to the Dead --Two couples go missing from the village. The locals blame ghosts, but Barnaby suspects a human hand is at work, an not the spirit world.

As always, it's fun to tag along with Barnaby and Jones as they investigate the crimes of Midsomer County, even if the crimes do become a bit convoluted and fanciful sometimes.
