Starring: Richard Gere, Laura Linney, Edward Norton, John Mahoney.

Based upon the book by William Dieh. I have no idea how the title relates to the book or the movie. However, that's not to say that the movie doesn't have its moments.

Not being a Richard Gere fan, I was worried that I might be too biased to enjoy this movie, if "enjoy" is the right word to use after seeing the film.

Basically it is the story of a hot shot and expensive lawyer (Gere) who takes on an apparently unwinnable case for the notoriety it will bring. A young man, covered in blood, was chased by police and captured after running from the home and mutilated corpse of a well-loved Archbishop.

As the story unfolds, you will find yourself thinking "this is too obvious -- I"ve seen this a dozen times, or more, in other films and made-for-TV movies..." but stick with the movie and you'll find a haunting, if not entirely unsuspected twist ending.
